Does anyone play Mah jong?

I have one of the old American Melamine sets from the twenties with only 152 Tiles. I know I can play the Chinese version, by substitution but I need pointers.|||I play Mahjongg solitaire online all the time, and have made my own tilesets (probably 100+) that I use when I play Mahjong Towers Eternity. They use layouts of up to 720 tiles each (but the sets are only 36 distinct types numbering 4 each, or 144 total) created by players. As you solve each layout, you get so many points and move up by levels (bronze, silver, gold) of each of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs (snake, rat, etc)

http://www.mahjongtime.com/Chinese-Offic鈥?/a> tells a bit of the history of the game and toward the bottom of the page is a button you can click to "Learn to Play.".

http://www.mahjongtime.com/mahjong-ameri鈥?/a> has the same button, says you can join a game, download a game, etc.

There are hundreds of sites online, too where you can play online, download trial versions or buy the full version. Some include:

My favorite variety is called RAHJONGG--and it used Egyptian hieroglyphics instead of Chinese characters. You can find it at http://www.egamesonline.com/download/dow鈥?/a>|||Mahjong Games
